About the NZLSAR Communications Subcommittee



The role of the subcommittee as defined by the constitution is:

The communications subcommittee shall be responsible for:

  1. Recommending communication policy to the committee.

  2. Recommending a communication budget to the committee.

  3. Developing and implementing effective plans to meet the requirements of communications.

  4. Developing policy recommendations in respect to communication equipment.

This is the role as set by the current constitution, however over time the scope of the subcommittee has expanded to cover other areas of technology, such as GPS, Cellphones, Satellite Phones, Pagers, Computers and Software etc.
